Semantic Search Software - Seeker Solutions

Semantic Natural Language Search Engine

Seeker Solutions develops and provides enterprise search software solutions to eliminate information overload. Seeker created a natural language processing and text mining semantic search engine which uses a unique cataloguing algorithm to map data more intelligently. This engine takes users to the information they need faster and more effectively – better serving any enterprise looking for more relevant document search engine results across all stored data.

Founded in 2006 by President Duncan MacRae and based in Victoria, BC, Seeker Solutions search applications specialize in information access and management – our goal is to maximize our clients' return and maximize the quality of natural language information retrieval. The company sprang from the University of Victoria's incubator program, long admired for launching a wealth of skilled and innovative entrepreneurs and successful technology firms. MacRae's original goal was to provide personalized news retrieval – custom fit for the news needs of individual users. By studying the ways in which people and technology interact, he figured out a enterprise search solution to solve the larger challenge of information overload.

MacRae was inspired by search application technology that gathered news from thousands of different sources, mapped those relationships and then linked them to an individual's needs. Instead of having to comb through hundreds of blogs and news sites for an article worth reading, the technology would do it for them.
